AbstractEste trabalho foi preparado visando fornecer um suporte didático e acadêmico à disciplina de Satélites Artificiais Movimento Orbital, do curso de Mestrado em Engenharia e Tecnologia Espaciais, modalidade Mecânica Espacial e Controle. Ela foi escrita e atualizada diversas vezes por diferentes colaboradores. Na versão atual deu-se especial atenção aos efeitos perturbadores que agem nas órbitas baixas de satélites terrestres, como o arrasto atmosférico, pressão de radiação e distorções gravitacionais, entre outros. A modelagem apresentada aqui irá permitir ao estudante compreender o fenômeno físico, bem como implementar computacionalmente estes modelos para uma eventual simulação do movimento orbital. O assunto exposto neste documento é vasto, e de forma alguma a sua totalidade é abordada aqui. Espera-se, no futuro, incorporar outros efeitos perturbadores, e incluir modelos mais recentes e mais precisos daqueles já conhecidos. This work was written to support the academic activities of the Artificial Satellites Orbital Motion class, for the MSc Space Engineering and Technology degree, Space Mechanics and Control option. It has been updated several times by different collaborators. This version received inclusions in the environmental orbital perturbations acting on low Earth orbits, as, for instance, the atmospheric drag, the solar radiation pressure and Earths gravity field, among others. The mathematical model of perturbations was included in order to allow the student to understand the physical principle acting on the orbit, as well as to allow him to implement it on a computer to perform orbit simulation or propagation. The knowledge area of the orbital motion is large, so this document cant cover it totally. However, it is expected that, in future, several other orbital disturbances can be included here, together with updated and more precise models.
